on Housing in America

It doesn't make any difference what else you have, if you don't have someplace to rest your head you're in bad shape. In Harlem, for example the reason why they say housing is such a key problem is when you live in a poor neighborhood you're living in an area where you have to have poor schools. When you have poor schools you have poor teachers. When you have poor teachers you get a poor education. & when you have a poor education you're destined to be a poor women or a poor man for the rest of your life. With a poor education you can only work at a poor paying job. & that poor paying job enables you to live again, in a poor neighborhood.
So its a very vicious cycle and usually these bad housing conditions result from the fact that there are absentee landlords. People who are rich, who live downtown & who let you and I live down here in the shack, in the slum. Its actually a form of 20th century slavery.- to the truest shit he ever spoke.-
